Elion House (the ancients' name for 'Sun') The first multi-disciplinary clean-bio technology incubator in Japan established in 2008 before energy transition was on the world agenda. It has since been developing clean energy technologies on the cutting-edge of science and has acquired extensive technical know-how. Problem Existing power technologies are dependent on either polluting fossil fuel (coal, oil, gas) or intermittent energy sources (solar, wind, tidal) that can destabilise the power grid and thus require super-expensive battery storage and enormous land areas making them impracticable to power heavy industry and cities. Solution Next-generation solar has 'arrived' that can generate reliable, clean and continuous 24/7 electricity without fossil fuels and solar panels (fluctuating sunlight); thus needs 1,000 times less land. The Sun provides unlimited clean energy that is not defined by the scarcity of the resource but by the "quality" of the technology we use to harness this incredible energy that could power the world 1300X times over, every year.
