[Windfluencer] Hooray. It’s Global Wind (Mon)Day 💨 Today we celebrate Global Wind Day with an update straight from Bruges 🇧🇪 For this special occasion, our windfluencer is back… and Felix has news for you 🔥   Since 2004, seven ENERCON E-66 turbines have been turning in Bruges. Now, they’re making way for the future: the wind farm is being repowered with four new, larger turbines. In recent weeks, Business in Wind carefully dismantled three of them. A highly precise operation, as the turbines were tightly wedged between industrial sites, railway tracks, and public roads. ⚡️The remaining four turbines will continue operating for as long as possible before being dismantled early next year.   ♻️ What happens next? ➡️ Some components are already finding a second life (including a yaw bearing and a set of blades) ➡️ Other parts will support the maintenance and repair of turbines ➡️ And because the Bruges turbines are part of Elicio’s heritage, we are exploring creative circular reuse of the blades.
