Threat Hunter at Global Payments | Nexus Cybersecurity Graduate | IT and Cyber Admin |
After the privilege of working 2 years in the Global Payments Security Operation Center, I’m happy to announce that I am moving to the Threat Hunting team at Global Payments! I am very much looking forward to transitioning at the end of this year. The things I am anticipating most are learning this different approach to InfoSec, going from working in a team of 30+ people to 5 people, and the difference of hundreds of short alerts per week to a couple of super deep hunts per week. On the SOC side, I want to thank Jonathan White, Justin Heath, Brandon Choyce, Ben Watson as the people who gave me a chance in the SOC, and helped me to gain the experience and skills that I’ve got now. Thank you for expecting a high standard of us in the SOC, and helping us to meet that standard every day. I also want to thank my closest teammates and friends in the SOC for teaching me, and allowing me to teach them. I seriously couldn’t ask for more amazing and great people to work with. I will really miss working next to you guys every day. On the Threat side, thank you Jon Shelley for considering me and choosing me as the newest Threat Hunter. This opportunity is amazing and I am so glad to take it. Hunter Juhan, Bryon Reynolds, kapil sadhale, thanks for letting me onto the team! Daily I look forward to working with you guys in a couple weeks, I am excited to learn from y’all and to grow my skills to be more like yours.
