🥳Over the summer, I wanted to gain practical experience and strengthen my professional skills by working in a real-world environment. I had the privilege of interning at Elektromreža Srbije a.d. (Joint Stock Company Elektromreža Srbije), one of the most respected companies in Serbia. As an HR intern, I was involved in conducting interviews, using advanced Excel tools, communicating with candidates, and providing end-of-interview consultations with feedback and improvement suggestions. By participating in interviews, I explored both the technical and psychological aspects of candidate evaluation. I conducted phone interviews, asked questions that examined how applicants think and solve problems, and learned how to recognise soft skills that are just as important as academic qualifications. Throughout this experience, I reviewed resumes from electrical engineering applicants, helped shortlist candidates, and used Microsoft Excel to organise and analyse data. I also wrote professional emails to potential candidates and gained a deeper understanding of how companies structure their hiring processes. What stood out most was engaging with professionals across various disciplines, including electrical, control systems, and communications engineering, which broadened my understanding of how different engineering fields contribute to a shared mission. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Natalija Đukić and Teodora Stanković for their exceptional guidance and mentorship. They not only made my internship experience enjoyable but also showed me what it truly means to be an engineer, combining technical expertise with communication, teamwork, and curiosity. 🙌
