*** OPEN SOURCE INTELLIGENCE ALERT *** In a statement published on 20 June 2026, the Syrian Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of Akram Saleh Al-Hamad, alias ‘Abdo Al-Tasni’ (Abdo the manufacturer), an alleged prominent ISIS explosives specialist in Eastern Syria. According to preliminary investigations and information from previously detained members of the same ISIS cell, Al-Hamad was considered a significant figure in ISIS and one of the organisation's prominent bomb-makers.
