The most successful entrepreneurs often begin as corporate employees who have a unique vantage point on a gap in their industry that no one is addressing. Publishizer CEO Bethany Marshall, a veteran of both Morgan James Book Publishing and the professional MMA world (!) has followed that path. Publishizer noticed that many talented authors struggle to find agents or secure deals with major publishers, who often require a substantial email list or a large social media following. Publishizer enables these authors to demonstrate that they have an audience through a streamlined book proposal process and pre-order campaign. It acts as their literary agent for the 30-day campaign. The platform makes these campaigns visible to independent and hybrid publishers. Many have been willing to take a chance on a book that has sold 250 or 500 copies in an initial campaign. Bethany shared her story with me for Forbes--and I had a chance to meet the successful four-author team that found a publisher through Publishizer for "SOS: A Navigation Guide for Women at Work": Marjin Wiersma, Chantal Korteweg, Lidewij Wiersma and Tessel van Willigen. https://lnkd.in/eP9UZs65 #publishing #independentpublishing #crowdfunding #bookauthor #bookpublishing #literaryagent
