🙌 €567,643 Awarded to 34 Community Groups Across North Connacht⭐ 🎇 EirGrid is delighted to announce the successful projects awarded funding under Phase 1 of the North Connacht Community Benefit Fund. Following a comprehensive evaluation process, 34 community groups and non-profit organisations have been allocated a total of €567,643.22. 🌲 The funding will support a diverse array of local facilities, environmental and biodiversity programmes, sports clubs, and community development organisations. 🔌 Phase one of the fund distribution marks the commencement of construction on the North Connacht 110kV project. The project will strengthen the grid in Connacht, improve electricity capacity to meet increasing demand and support economic growth in the area by connecting renewable energy sources. 👷 The high calibre and volume of applications underscores the strong engagement of local communities with the project.
