The Executive Board has appointed Panos Markopoulos as dean of the Department of Industrial Design TU/e (ID), effective 1 August. 🎓 Having served as acting dean since last year, he now formally takes on the role, succeeding Lin-Lin Chen, who led the department since 2018. Rector Silvia Lenaerts: “Panos is an empathic leader who combines modesty with a strong sense of openness and respect. I am confident he will continue to strengthen an inclusive and forward-looking community. I would like to thank Lin-Lin for her many years of commitment and the important role she has played in the department.” Panos Markopoulos: “I am honored by this appointment and hope to continue the very successful deanship of Lin-Lin Chen.
