[Aviation project milestone] The SESAR Joint Undertaking CP2 programme has entered its stakeholder consultation phase, a key step in refining one of the building blocks of Europe’s next phase of Air Traffic Management modernisation. This is an important milestone and follows extensive work, alignment and collaboration across the aviation community. Egis has continued to support the SESAR JU in this latest phase, contributing to the structuring and consolidation of this complex, multi-stakeholder programme. Common Project 2 will be instrumental in accelerating the deployment of digital, interoperable and scalable ATM solutions across Europe. Its scope reflects both operational priorities and long-term transformation goals, including: - Enhanced network performance, capacity and safety - Improved environmental sustainability - Integration of new and emerging airspace users in a safe and secure environment - Greater system interoperability, digitalisation and cybersecurity Ensuring that these ambitions translate into deliverable, coordinated investments is at the heart of the current consultation process. The stakeholder consultation workshop held last week in Brussels brought together a broad cross-section of the aviation community, with close to 500 participants. The strong level of engagement underlined both the strategic importance of CP2 and the need for continued alignment across stakeholders. The workshop provided a valuable platform for exchanging views, gathering feedback, and ensuring that the proposal reflects both ambition and practical implementation needs. Discussions focused on several key objectives: - Validating the programme’s priorities - Assessing implementation challenges and risks - Gathering stakeholder input to refine the proposal - Strengthening alignment ahead of upcoming decision milestones This phase will be critical in ensuring that CP2 strikes the right balance between ambition and operational feasibility. 👉 Learn more about the workshop and consultation process: https://bit.ly/4eKtTRp The coming months will be key as feedback is incorporated and the proposal progresses towards its next stages within the regulatory process, ultimately leading to its adoption and a smooth transition into implementation.
