Milestone achieved: Our new power plant in St. Johann (AT) has generated its first electricity 🦺⚡ With the first electricity production at our new power plant in St. Johann in Tirol, we have reached a major milestone in one of our largest energy projects in the Group. The new power plant uses biogenic fuels and enables us to generate renewable energy directly for our production processes. In doing so, we are taking another step on our journey towards our Net Zero 2050 climate action goal and further driving the reduction of fossil fuels. In normal operation, we will in future produce without natural gas in St. Johann. But this is just the beginning: 👉 In addition to electricity and heat for our plant, in the next steps also more heat for the regional district heating supply will be generated. The power plant is currently being gradually ramped up and commissioned – full operation is planned from late summer 2026. 🤝 A big thank you to everyone involved in making this project and this progress possible. #EGGER #NetZero #RenewableEnergy #DistrictHeating #Milestone
