Dear Network, I recently completed my internship at getirfinans, and wanted to briefly share what made this journey meaningful for me. getirfinans is Turkey’s first example of service banking, built with the belief that banking should be fast, easy, and fully digital just like the experience Getir created in delivery. While operating within the Getir ecosystem, getirfinans functions as a standalone fintech initiative with its own structure, team, and roadmap. The initiative began in 2022, received its license from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) in August 2024, and launched publicly in October 2024. Running on Fibabanka’s infrastructure, the app allows users to manage payments, transfers, cards, FX, loans, and more — all within a seamless mobile experience. Today, it already serves over 1 million users. Supported by leading investors including Türkiye İş Bankası, Michael Moritz’s Crankstart fund, and others, and powered by Fibabanka, getirfinans brings a fresh approach to digital banking — blending speed, simplicity, and innovation. As a growth intern, I had the chance to: • Support campaign ideation and marketing initiatives • Analyze data to uncover insights and inform strategy • Learn how fast-moving teams test, iterate, and scale ideas • Be part of an environment that encourages ownership and creativity I’m incredibly grateful to everyone at getirfinans who supported me throughout this journey.
