🏗️ Proud to be part of a project that will make a real difference for families in Cardinal, Ontario. EFI Engineering is providing Civil Engineering, Planning, and Structural Engineering services for a new purpose-built child care centre at 4055 Dishaw Street in Cardinal, a partnership between the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, and YMCA of Eastern Ontario that will bring 42 new licensed child care spaces to the community. This project supports the United Counties' Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) Directed Growth Strategy, which identified Cardinal and Spencerville as areas in need of expanded licensed child care to meet growing demand. Working alongside CABN and the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal, our team is helping deliver a facility that will be leased to YMCA of Eastern Ontario for operation once complete. Construction begins this summer, with site servicing and foundation work first, followed by installation of the prefabricated building; with the goal of welcoming children by the end of 2026. It's a great example of what's possible when municipalities, counties, and community organizations align around a shared goal: making it easier for local families to access affordable, high-quality child care close to home.
