Each year, 250,000+ student entrepreneurs, organizers, volunteers, mentors, and judges from 130 countries take part in the Hult Prize Foundation — the world’s largest startup competition focused on social impact. While the $1M seed investment for the winner gets the spotlight, the real impact goes much further. For many, the experience itself is what matters most. Take Hamza from Egypt. After struggling with speech disorders for 20 years, he built Lothgha, an app making speech therapy more accessible and affordable. Although his team didn’t win, the app now reaches 80,000+ users across 84 countries and continues to grow. Or Andini from Indonesia, who co-founded HerLens after a teammate’s mother was diagnosed with advanced cervical cancer. Wanting to make early detection more accessible, the team created an AI tool to support healthcare workers.
