The achievement of our contractual key dates as well as the first loadout of our monopiles for the Nordlicht 1 offshore wind project are a great milestone for us, but what made it special was taking a moment to stop, look at what we've built and celebrate it together with our partner Vattenfall. We were delighted to welcome Vattenfall’s upper management to our Rostock site: Cyril Moss, Silke Schicht, Manuel Fischer, Rene Schuster; alongside part of the project’s team: Oliver Heyen and Alexander Wendlandt. A firsthand look at our logistics and capabilities We started with a quick turnaround and went straight to the quayside. Our teams walked to the site together, diving into the technical details of our loading operations and discussing the logistical milestones ahead. We capped off the tour with the signing of one of our first manufactured monopiles and captured a team picture right in front of the massive crane that will power this deployment. Key facts of the Nordlicht 1 loadout campaign 🏗️ A total of 68 Monopiles will be loaded The entire loadout campaign is anticipated to be completed by the end of September this year 🚢 4 DEME barges are assigned to this project, transporting 3 MPs during each transit 🌊 Right after the completion of this loading, EEW SPC will begin with the production of 44 Monopiles for Nordlicht II project To close the day, we moved from the docks to the grills. We joined a barbecue generously sponsored by Vattenfall for the whole company, a perfect way to thank every single person who put their hard work into this project.
