Our CYLC/CLP Mt.SAC Environmental Capstone project marked the conclusion of a 9 month journey and the graduation of 24 fellows from the CYLC and CLP Mt. SAC Environmental Fellowship. Over the past 9 months, our fellows demonstrated dedication, skill, and purpose, giving us real hope for the future of environmental leadership. We partnered with nine community based organizations and four on site centers at Mt. SAC, whose teams generously mentored our fellows and provided real world experience in community organizing and environmental leadership. At a time when these skills are needed more than ever, our students have emerged as true change agents, ready to help shape a more just and resilient climate future. Thank you Rosa M. García, Ed.D. and roque armenta for partnering with Mt.SAC on this amazing journey. Thank you Martha O. Garcia for bringing this opportunity to light for our students. Thank you Dr. Primavera Reza-Nakonechny, Ruben Flores and Dario Fernandez for hosting our students on campus. And thank you OneUpAction International, USGBC California, Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), Pomona Hope, Gente Organizada, Clean and Green Pomona, Ezrach Brain Trust Association, San Gabriel Valley Conservation Corps, Pitzer College and Robert Redford Conservancy for Southern California Sustainability for providing our students with first class fellowship experiences. Special thank you to our Mt.SAC Team!
