Our FDI team had the pleasure of attending the Canada Pakistan Trade Forum 2026 hosted by the Canada Pakistan Trade & Cultural Association (CPTCA) at the Four Points by Sheraton Winnipeg South. The evening highlighted opportunities to strengthen trade, investment and economic collaboration between Canada and Pakistan, bringing together Manitoba business, industry and government leaders for insightful dialogue. The program featured a keynote from Canada’s High Commissioner to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, His Excellency Tarik Khan, on “Doing Business in Pakistan: Opportunities & Realities,” followed by a panel discussion with Minister Jamie Moses (Government of Manitoba), Chuck Davidson (President & CEO of Manitoba Chambers of Commerce), Loren Remillard, (President & CEO of The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce), moderated by our Vice President, International, Alberto Velasco-Acosta. By the numbers: ➡️ Canada-Pakistan merchandise trade reached approximately CA$1.2B in 2025. ➡️ Canadian exports to Pakistan grew in 2025, rising from CA$302.8M in 2024 to CA$499.7M in 2025. ➡️ Strong community and cultural ties with 5,000+ people of Pakistani origin in Manitoba. Thank you to Masroor Khan, CPA and the CPTCA for hosting such a valuable and engaging event. #CanadaPakistan #Winnipeg #Trade #TradeForum2026 #CPTCA
