St David’s Park is one of Hobart’s most beautiful public spaces, but it could play a much bigger role in city life. The recent removal of two giant sequoia trees has opened up one corner of the park, where the rotunda already provides a natural focal point. There is now an opportunity to explore a modest amphitheatre-style space for events, performances and public screenings. Imagine watching the Socceroos on a big screen in one of Hobart’s best-loved parks.
