A lovely conversation yesterday morning in St Anne’s Church Kew for my Reasons for Hope podcast with Marina Silva, Brazil’s great environmental leader and campaigner. Marina spoke beautifully (in Portuguese — subtitles to follow) about her life, her work, her experience with Chico Mendes, the forest campaigner who was assassinated in 1988, her legacy as environment minister, her hopes for future generations, what she would say to those who do not agree with her, and her faith and convictions that keep her going. It was a privilege to talk with her and I hope those who listen to it - including in Brazil - find it an inspiring conversation. https://lnkd.in/egEM73qj It will join the main Spotify and YouTube pages in the course of the day: https://lnkd.in/enV9bzDi
