I’m glad to share that Teacher Emotions as Personal and Professional Development in Applied Linguistics, edited by Mohammad Nabi Karimi, Luis Javier Pentón Herrera, and Behzad Mansouri, is now available on Multilingual Matters. https://lnkd.in/gEbUVqQd I’m happy to have a chapter included in this volume. This might be the publication I’m most proud of, as I documented the emotional experiences of English teachers working in the Brazilian Amazon, the challenges they face in regulating emotions in this unique context, and what this might mean for their professional development. Writing this chapter was the very beginning of my doctoral project, and I’m excited to keep building on that reflection. A huge thank you to the editors for their trust, to Ana Maria Ferreira Barcelos for her encouragement, and to the participants of this study, who so bravely shared their stories with me.
