There is more than one AI! Yesterday was a day of Amazing Interactions and learning about Awesome Initiatives at the Toddle - Your Teaching Partner School Leaders Meetup at Canadian International School of Hong Kong. Always a pleasure listening to Dr. Jennifer Chang Wathall and she kicked us off in style with her guide to AI Literacy and sharing her GEM Implementation Framework. I was most looking forward to the panel discussion on Leading Digital Citizenship in the age of AI and it did not disappoint! Moderated expertly by Emma-Kate Gower, the converation flowed and had more takeaways than Food Panda! It was great to hear the inspiring Cora Yang speak about 'mentoring over monitoring' and her Learning Agency Framework adopted by Chinese International School | 漢基國際學校. The AI initiatives at Victoria Shanghai Academy were expertly shared, as always, by John Hendrickse. I love the thoughtfulness of SELAI and the creation of VSAI. It was also great to see the Digital Citizenship Framework adopted by English Schools Foundation and hear how Anna Kuiti connects with parents. Toilet tips may also have featured in the discussion! Misbah Jafary and all of the Toddle team were amazing and it was great to see how far Toodle have come from humble beginnings to being at the forefront of learning and teaching. Malika Meidinger and Roshan Varandmal Harjani rounded things off with Rethinking Assessments and Reporting, and strategies for Leading Digital Transformation. This is something uniquely special about the Hong Kong education community and these events are always a great way to connect.
