*** G7 Data Protection - Keynote Speech - TechSonar & TechDispatch *** At the Privacy Research Day in Paris, part of the G7 Data Protection Week, Supervisor Wojciech Wiewiorowski delivered a keynote on TechSonar and TechDispatch, the two EDPS' foresight tools for monitoring emerging technologies and their impact on fundamental rights. Launched in 2021, #TechSonar identifies technology trends likely to see significant growth in the next three to four years, examining their potential effects on individuals, both positive and negative. Where a technology shows concrete, high-impact applications, the EDPS goes deeper with a #TechDispatch, a focused analysis of a single technology, its privacy implications, and further reading for those who want to deepen their knowledge.
