❗ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗗𝗣𝗦 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 The EDPS has published a new guidance document designed to support controllers in conducting data protection risk assessments when developing, procuring and deploying AI systems under Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 (EUDPR). This guide offers valuable insights and practical recommendations to help identify and mitigate common technical risks associated with AI systems and to contribute to the protection of personal data and responsible AI development. While primarily intended for European Union Institutions, Bodies, Offices, and Agencies, the guidance is also highly relevant for private companies, industry stakeholders, and public organisations striving to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
