We are thrilled to announce that the Lake Lyell Hydro project has received endorsement from the NSW Government for support through the Investment Delivery Authority (IDA) as part of its inaugural round. This endorsement is a testament to the significance of the Lake Lyell Hydro project in ensuring energy security and reliability for the National Electricity Market. Located on Wiradjuri Country, Lake Lyell Hydro has been developed with extensive input from the Traditional Owners, the local community, and stakeholders. With a capacity to generate 385MW for eight hours and operate at 430MW, Lake Lyell Hydro will boost regional investment and create local jobs. As NSW expands its renewable energy capacity, Lake Lyell Hydro will support grid reliability and contribute to the country’s reliable electricity supply for a minimum of 80 years. We appreciate the government’s support during the project planning and delivery phases, and in assisting us to ensure Lake Lyell Hydro aligns with the NSW Government’s strategic priorities. We look forward to collaborating further with the NSW Government to coordinate a timely assessment and delivery of the Lake Lyell Hydro project.
