EDF Australia welcomes the announcement from the Federal Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy Josh Wilson MP on the outcome of Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS) Tender - NEM Generation.   The successful projects include EDF Australia’s 289 MW Whyte Yarcowie Wind Farm in South Australia and the 228 MW Banana Range Wind Farm in Queensland.   The CIS is a critical milestone for our renewables projects, adding to their feasibility and stepping them along the path to becoming clean electricity generators.   With load growth across the country from data centres and electrification, Australia urgently needs new electricity generation like these projects.   As well as specific local community benefits, these projects will directly create hundreds of full-time equivalent jobs during construction as well as ongoing local employment once the wind farms are operational.   Thanks to our project partners, local councils and partner landowners across both these projects. https://lnkd.in/gzzSn532 https://lnkd.in/gZG6jYYU
