Mark Hartley takes over today as the new Chief Executive Officer at Hinkley Point C. He’s returning to the new nuclear power station in Somerset where he was Technical Director until 2023, before becoming Managing Director of EDF’s Nuclear Operations responsible for Britain’s existing nuclear power stations. Mark will lead the project through construction and commissioning to operation, working with Project Director Laurent Reber and Hinkley Point C’s first station director Nicola Fauvel. Hear Mark set out his priorities as he works to get the power station built for Britain so it can supply reliable low carbon electricity to meet around 10 per cent of the country’s current consumption.
