NEW LEADERSHIP FOR DEFENCE AT EDAG // Thomas Mailänder has been appointed Vice President Defence at EDAG Group. In this newly created position, he will lead the strategic and operational development of EDAG’s Defence activities and further strengthen the company’s positioning in this growing market. Thomas Mailänder brings decades of leadership experience from both the automotive and defence industries. During his career, he has held senior management positions at Daimler-Benz, Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, including international CEO roles. His expertise includes complex program management, organizational development and the expansion of new markets. “Defence has been a strategically important business area for EDAG for more than 20 years,” says Harald Keller, CEO of EDAG Group. “Thomas Mailänder brings the experience needed to lead national and international programmes and to further develop organizations in a targeted manner.” The appointment also reflects a broader industry development: defence projects increasingly require shorter development cycles, interdisciplinary engineering expertise and integrated development approaches across software, electronics and systems engineering.
