“CHINA SPEED” IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK // In a recent interview, Dr. Gabriel Seiberth, Executive Vice President and Global Lead E/E at EDAG Group, challenges the narrative around “China Speed”. His point is clear: faster development is not driven by superior technology. It comes from lower regulatory pressure, reduced validation standards and massive resource deployment. And it has limits. As China moves closer to global standards, speed will adjust. At the same time, German OEMs are catching up. New E/E architectures and centralized computing are accelerating development cycles significantly. Seiberth highlights what is often overlooked: Germany’s real advantage is its ecosystem.
