Ernst Boris Chain (b.6/19/1906) Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1945 ( with Alexander Fleming & Howard Florey) "for the discovery of penicillin and its curative effect in various infectious diseases" Ernst Chain worked out how to isolate and concentrate penicillin.
