🎉Today we release the 10th edition of our Sustainability Rating Index report 🎉 The analysis is drawn from nearly 200,000 scorecards of the more than 100,000 companies we've rated globally between 2021 and 2025. The key finding❓Companies are making real progress on sustainability inside their own operations, but capability gaps prevent this from cascading deeper into the supply chain. The good news is that environmental scores saw the largest gain of any theme evaluated by EcoVadis, with climate a clear focus area: ✅46% of rated companies are purchasing or generating renewable energy ✅38% are running climate training for employees ❌However, 78% have no science-based carbon reduction targets. Rated companies are performing best on the Labor & Human Rights theme: ✅80% have formal DEI policies ✅78% have employee health and safety policies in place ❌ but just 46% require suppliers to sign a sustainability code of conduct, and ❌only 20% conduct on-site audits, a number that has barely moved in four years. Much of this capability gap can be closed with targeted, continuous engagement and a roadmap for improvement. In fact, across sizes and sectors, companies with multiple EcoVadis ratings outperform those rated for the first time by 12 points on average.
