🤝 Process support for Combi-tracks’ aid and trade partnerships The Combi-track approach is a recent flagship Dutch government strategy to bring trade and development aid closer together. It brings public and private partners together to tackle local sustainability and digitalisation challenges, and helps Dutch businesses share expertise that supports sustainable economic development and job creation. Because these tracks don't follow a fixed blueprint, they are highly dynamic. They bring together embassies, local governments, and private-sector partners, each with its own priorities and ways of working. Adaptive management is key here: learning from the ground, addressing bottlenecks early, and refining the process as it unfolds. That is the learning and process support our Ecorys team is providing. Our role is to help partners reflect, learn, and navigate this model together. Lately, that support has looked like: 🌍 Research visits: Getting on the ground in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and the Ivory Coast. We’ve met with embassy teams and local entrepreneurs to see how partnerships in cold chain logistics, healthcare, solar energy, and sustainable horticulture function in reality. 🤝 Interactive learning sessions: Bringing public and private partners into the same room to tackle the practicalities of collaboration. We facilitated sessions on core building blocks, from defining "success" and developing exit management frameworks, to building local business cases and integrating decent work. 💡 Curious about how we approach learning-oriented support and adaptive monitoring?
