🚧 Construction is underway at Kalkadoon Industrial Estate in Mount Isa, with Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) delivering around 8ha of new industrial land across 7 future industrial lots. Recent works have included a proof roll to check for soft spots ahead of pavement construction. The crew has now commenced placing the next subgrade layer, forming the engineered foundation beneath the future road surface. Looking ahead, the first seal coat is planned for later this month, marking another important milestone on site. Zoned for medium impact industrial, this new freehold land will support mining, local businesses and regional commerce.
