Economic development in small towns can be challenging, with limited resources, complex local pressures and competing priorities, but the opportunities are significant. Economic Development Australia (EDA) and SEGRA: Sustainable Economic Growth for Regional Australia have teamed up to deliver a new four-part Regional Webinar Series, exploring economic development across regional Australia. The first session, Small Towns, Big Impact: Economic Development Lessons from the Regions, will highlight how small communities can deliver projects across housing, industry, tourism and services by leveraging local strengths. Through case studies, the session will demonstrate how small towns can punch above their weight with practical, grounded, place-based initiatives.
