EcoAthletes is excited that Grace Sullivan, senior center and leading scorer for the 5-0 (as of November 24, 2025) Northwestern basketball team, has decided to bring her lifelong passion for the environment to the Champions roster! “I spent a lot of time as I was growing up on Lake Michigan exploring and playing sports,” Grace shared. “I saw nature as a place filled with joy and adventure. It was in high school, when I took my first environmental biology and preservation classes, that I realized that sustainability could be part of my lifelong path. Over time, my interest has focused on the fashion and product-based industries that significantly impact our climate and lives every day. I have come to understand that, with our growing economy, and the constant pressure and desire to buy, we are putting our environment under pressure on a massive scale. I felt the need to focus my energy on finding ways to minimize those impacts and to inspire others to do the same.
