Behind every statistic, policy discussion or programme design are people whose lives are shaped by the realities we seek to understand. Recently, our colleague Roi Fernández Agudo travelled to Malawi to meet with workers, families, government representatives, employers' and workers' organisations, and development partners. The purpose was not simply to gather information. It was to listen. To hear first-hand how labour arrangements affect people's lives, understand the challenges communities face, and learn from those most closely connected to these realities. Some insights emerge from data, others come from conversations, trust and time spent in the field. Here are a few words (and photos) from the visit and some reflections on why listening remains such an important part of creating meaningful change. https://lnkd.in/extdT5Hb
