Recap: Inclusive Leadership Summer School 2025 💫 Last month, we welcomed a brilliant group of first-generation, low-income students from across the US to the Netherlands as part of the Keith Sherin Global Leaders Program, organized by the Council for Opportunity in Education 🌍 To create a soft landing during their first week, ECHO hosted a one-week summer school focused on inclusive leadership. After the program, the students continued on to The Hague University of Applied Sciences to begin their coursework. 📚 Throughout the week, the students were introduced to Dutch society through an equity lens, developed their inclusive leadership skills, and reflected on their roles as changemakers. ✨ They met inspiring local leaders and professionals from our ECHO network, such as Naomi van Stapele, PhD, Achraf Agarmaoine, Khaled Tamimy, Benay Statia, Sameha Bouhalhoul, Martha Gabriela Sánchez Martínez and Laura Quintero-Soekarnsingh. We also visited the Tweede Kamer, where MP Mpanzu Bamenga gave us an exclusive tour and shared his powerful journey in the fight for social justice. A week of mutual learning, connection, and growth.
