ICYMI: In May the EU took an important step for culture 🎭   The EBU welcomes the EU's Joint Declaration "Europe for Culture – Culture for Europe”. But these priorities must be matched with sufficient funding at EU level to make good on its promises.   The Declaration states that culture and creative industries aren't just public goods. They're economic engines driving growth, creating jobs, sparking innovation, and protecting the values that define Europe, which is crucial as Big Tech:   - Challenges European cultural and creative industries - Harms the visibility and findability of European content - Threatens the diversity of content, languages, and cultural expressions.
