In Freetown, the "grid" is often a suggestion, not a guarantee. But for Project Peanut Butter (PPB), a blackout is more than a frustration, it’s a threat to their mission of treating severe childhood malnutrition across Sierra Leone. PPB produces high-energy, life-saving therapeutic pastes. Their factory and administrative offices require constant, stable power to keep the mixers turning and the cold chain intact. Frequent blackouts in Freetown forced a reliance on expensive, noisy, and polluting diesel generators, cutting into the resources meant for the children who need them most. We stepped in to provide a "Victory" for their production line. Our Power Solutions team designed and installed a robust, independent energy ecosystem: 31.08 kWp Solar PV Array 30.6 kWh Battery Storage 45 kVA Victron Inverter System Today, the PPB factory in Freetown stands as a beacon of resilience. By solarizing their operations, they have: Eliminated downtime caused by grid instability. Reduced operational costs, allowing more funds to go toward Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) production. Decarbonized their supply chain, proving that industrial manufacturing in Africa can be green and efficient. At Easy Solar, we don’t just install panels; we power the missions that matter. We are proud to support Project Peanut Butter as they continue their vital work to end child malnutrition.
