We caught up with Flaven and members of Blended Pieces, a sewing group based in Auchenback Resource Centre every Wednesday, to hear the impact being part of the group has had on them. 🪡🧵 Through Flaven’s passion, vision, and dedication, Blended Pieces has flourished into a vibrant and impactful community group. With support from our Community Learning & Development team, the group has been able to build capacity, secure funding, and strengthen its role within the community. Blended Pieces has not only empowered individuals to engage in sewing and upcycling, but from the video you’ll hear how it’s also created a strong sense of belonging and friendship among its members. Flaven has further expanded the groups reach by delivering workshops in local high schools and running community sessions for young people, all of which have been highly successful.
