Congratulations to Sharon Hunter, Head Teacher at Mearns Primary, who was named the winner of the “School Food Leader” category at The Jamie Oliver Group Good School Food Awards. 🏆 Sharon was nominated by Jonathan Sloane, Chair of the PTA, in recognition of transforming the everyday classroom into a teaching kitchen and making cooking a key part of the school’s curriculum. Every child, from nursery through to P7, learns how to cook, understand ingredients and prepare meals. The award came as a complete surprise to Sharon, who was presented with the honour by the school’s Head Boy and Head Girl, making the occasion even more memorable! A truly well-deserved achievement- congratulations, Sharon! 👏 #GoodSchoolFoodAwards
