Environmental Earth Systems Science Undergraduate at NTU
Field Notes 01: The 30-Legged Sprinter I grew up watching nature documentaries and I have always dreamt of being the one behind the scenes. So, during my last winter break, I went to Mandai T15 trail in the night to see what I could find. This video features the ππ©π¦π³π¦πΆπ°π±π°π₯π’ ππ°π―π¨πͺπ€π°π³π―πͺπ΄ (Long-legged centipede). Creepy stuff πΆ. As an Environmental Earth Systems Science undergraduate at NTU, Iβve been learning about evolutionary trade-offs. Unlike the heavily armored ππ€π°ππ°π±π¦π―π₯π³π’, the ππ©π¦π³π¦πΆπ°π±π°π₯π’ is designed for speed, optimising its Risk-Sensitive Foraging. I recently took some footage from my adventure and made a nature journal for one of my modules. It was a great exercise to apply what I believe into motion: Science is to be experienced. Thanks to the team for making this possible Cinematography: Kayle P. (captured on Fujifilm X-S20).
