This year the youngest energetics PhD students (35th and 36th cycle) at Politecnico di Torino had the possibility to tell in few simple words their research activity through a 3-minutes video available on youtube in the “PhD Day 2021” channel. The purpose was to highlight to a wider audience the impact of doing innovative research in the energy field in this crucial historical period. More than 40 PhD students have participated to this initiative and a large amount of interesting topics are presented. We may be a little bit biased (!) but we strongly suggest the special work done by our e-cubers: Fabrizio Gullino – “Advanced Powertrain Solutions for Environmentally Friendly Hypercars” https://lnkd.in/eaJ4kknA Mohammad Javad Jafari – “Renewable Fuels for ICE: analysis of GHG and pollutant emissions reduction potential” https://lnkd.in/etuW_-B5 Luca Pulvirenti – “Exploiting V2X connections and advanced energy management strategies to achieve maximum CO2 reductions from hybrid electric vehicles” https://lnkd.in/ek_3jq4u Antonio Riccio – “Exhaust after-treatment systems (EAS) modelling to develop new technologies and support ECU calibration in off-road diesel engines” https://lnkd.in/eEK-fUmG Salvatore Roggio – Study of ultra-low NOx diesel combustion systems by synergetic application of 3D-CFD and single-cylinder engine” https://lnkd.in/e98cQ5M5 Cristiano Segatori – “Study of a new mixing enhancement strategy for zero-soot future diesel engine applications – Ducted Fuel Injection” https://lnkd.in/ebvpaQZY #Energy #PhD #Research #Fuels #Cars #Engine #LowEmissions #experiments #CFD #thefutureiseclectic
