An important next step for bidirectional charging: With the handover of the vehicles to the participating households, BDLNext finally hits the road. Together with our partners from industry, grid operation and academia, and our pilot customers we are now testing how electric vehicles can be integrated into the energy market and used in a grid- and market-oriented way. The goal is clear: to connect e-mobility, PV, home batteries and intelligent energy management into an open, interoperable energy ecosystem. What has been developed over the past months is now being tested where it matters most: in everyday routines and under real system conditions. These insight will be critical to move bidirectional charging towards scalable real-world use unlocking flexibility potentials for our energy system and new value for customers.
