[#ProjectSpotlight] Delivering a future-ready stay cable system for one of North America’s most ambitious bridge projects - One year on. The Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge is the longest concrete segmental cable-stayed bridge in #NorthAmerica — and DYWIDAG played a key role in delivering its stay cable system. One year on from its opening the Bridge continues to set new standards for performance, durability, and scale, and is already supporting thousands of vessel movements and millions of vehicle journeys. Led by the Texas Department of Transportation, the project’s owner and developer FlatironDragados USA, the project replaced the original 1950’s era Harbor Bridge with a modern stay cable structure spanning 1,661 feet, with a total length exceeding 3,295 feet, making it North America’s longest concrete segmental cable-stayed bridge. Designed for a 170-year service life, the bridge sets a new benchmark for durability, resilience, and long-term performance. Working closely with the project team our experts delivered: 💠152 stay cable systems engineered for durability and fatigue resistance 💠Over 3,700 tons of o.6inch epoxy-coated strand for long-term corrosion protection 💠Full compliance with Buy America, Build America (BABA) requirements Our teams ensured on-time delivery through adaptive execution and close collaboration. The result: a future-ready structure designed to improve safety, mobility, and access for one of the busiest ports in the U.S. 👉 Learn more about the project: View case study #DYWIDAG #SaferStrongerSmarter #Infrastructure #BridgeEngineering #StayCable #Construction #EngineeringExcellence
