Dynacare is helping shape the future of diagnostic microbiology by actively contributing to advancing conversations on innovation in laboratory care. At the 2026 Association of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Disease Canada and the Canadian Associate for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (AMMI-CACMID) Annual Conference in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Leah Brown, Technical Specialist, Microbiology, joined by Dr. Dina Greene (University of Washington) and Scientific Director, Dr. Lee Goneau, presented a poster “From Patient-Collected Specimens to Automated Laboratories: Modernizing Diagnostic Workflows.” The session highlighted emerging trends in patient-collected samples, lab automation, and AI in microbiology. Mrs. Brown presented research on a urine preservative that keeps samples stable during transport, reducing errors and repeat tests, supporting quicker, more reliable care when it matters most. Dr. Goneau shared how Dynacare is using AI to improve turn-around time urine testing and deliver results to clinicians and their patients faster. Together, these advancements highlight Dynacare’s commitment to innovation and to improving care for Canadians through faster, more reliable diagnostic testing. #Microbiology #InfectiousDiseases #LifeSciences
