I do interesting things with computers, code, comedy, music and video, then I travel all over the world and tell people about it.

Build Stuff has always been one of my favourite events. I know some folks who were there last year thought there was a bit too much "holistic wellbeing" and not enough tech - and so me and a handful of long-time Build Stuff alumni, people who have spoken at their events going right back to 2012, have been working with the organisers over the last few weeks to bring the focus for 2026 back to tech: code, cloud, AI, language design, case studies and experience reports. Come along, tell us: what did you build? How did it work? How did it break? What did you learn? We want to hear about how you're using AI - not more flashy demos and "one-shot" vibe coded apps; tell us how you're using AI tools as part of a rigorous, production-hardened development process, and how well it's working. And we want to hear about the perennial challenges of developing excellent software: performance, security, scalability, inclusive design, observability, communication and culture. And it's Vilnius in December, which is a wonderful way to close out the year - Christmas markets, dark beer, great food, wonderful atmosphere.
