He would be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions on Little Round Too! Although born a Johnny Reb, COL Chamberlain is one of the many Officers in history I admire for their courage, leadership, and wisdom! I had the privilege to view the gauntlets he wore when he received Lee’s surrender of the Army of Northern Virginia at Appomattox.
