Duke University is launching Duke Embark, a new First-Year Experience at the Duke Marine Lab for incoming undergraduate students in the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences, beginning in fall 2027. Duke Embark students will live and learn at the Marine Lab in Beaufort, North Carolina, during the fall semester before transitioning to Duke’s Durham campus in the spring. “The Marine Lab excels in undergraduate education, and many upper-year students describe their experience with us as among their best at Duke,” said Lisa Campbell, Rachel Carson Distinguished Professor of Marine Affairs and Policy. “With Duke Embark, we are building on our strengths to welcome first-year students to the Marine Lab for the fall semester, in a program that will be unique in the country.” Prospective students can indicate their interest in Duke Embark in the Common Application supplement when applying to Duke. 🔗 Learn more about Duke Embark: https://duke.is/embark
