Researchers, including Dan Richter and Ph.D. student Anselme Dossou, analyzed samples of soil and wildfire ash collected from residential areas in Southern California burned by wildfire in 2025. The results revealed wide variation in contamination by potentially harmful elements, including lead.     Part of a community-engaged research project led by the Nicholas School of the Environment and Honey Girl Grows, the study offers insights into LA's urban history and the effectiveness of post-fire cleanup efforts. https://lnkd.in/gBttApgG
