Jovian, the Coquerel’s sifaka who starred in Zoboomafoo, was born on this day in 1994 at the Duke Lemur Center. For many people, the show was an early introduction to lemurs and the importance of protecting wildlife. Jovian’s playful personality helped bring lemur conservation into living rooms around the world and inspired a generation of young nature lovers.
