In 2022, our partnership expanded to include the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup, crafted in solid sterling silver for the first time—a milestone celebrated when Ash Barty lifted it that year. Prior to 2012, winners of the men’s and women’s singles finals received scaled replicas, half the size of the actual trophies, made of brass with silver plating. The inner surfaces of both the Norman Brookes and Daphne Akhurst cups are gold-plated, and the intricate embellishments, such as the wreaths and tennis rackets, are carefully finished in gold.
